GSB’s services have progressed in time with the needs of the economy and our customers. We became the first and only issuer in Franklin and Hampshire counties to offer the protection of Savings Bank Life Insurance on the heels of The Great Depression. Our Trust Department was opened in 1992, becoming the only locally-run community bank wealth management group in the region. The bank’s Amherst office – focused on relationship banking and personalized financial services – brought GSB to Hampshire County. And investment opportunities for customers broadened even further when Infinex Financial Group became our partner.

Located on Route 2 just off Interstate 91, this innovative answer to ho-hum banking is the perfect place to get cash. The whimsical design is dotted with playful critters and surrounded by lush landscaping. Its gnarled roots wrap around the drive-up money machine. A huge, overhanging mushroom shelters cars beneath it, bringing smiles to local children and adults alike!
